Strength of genetics plays an important role in Longhorn cattle - and this page
is developed as a display of genetics and a tribute to the legacy of

Lucy Creek's Fina Joya

who, at a young age, was labeled "a true champion". Her genetics became
her legacy - a solid, lengthy pedigree - displayed in many cattle from various
locations across the country.

This matriarchal line, with solid LCR breeding, can be found on many web
sites and in TLBAA records. Correct-progressive in size, she also
displayed exceptional length of horn.

As Texas Longhorn breeders since 1983, we have sought a solid genetic
foundation, breeding and building on quality and uniformity.

We are pleased that the Fina Joya family lineage continues. The Longhorns
pictured below are some excellent examples of those genetics, represented
in a variety of ages. We limited our focus on a few within two generations.

Some photos are a compilation of those supplied by fellow longhorn breeders -
to whom we extend our thanks and appreciation for sharing in this collection.
