LCR Breeding Facts

WE WELCOME YOUR INQUIRIES ABOUT LONGHORN CATTLE!

Early Show Circuit History: In the early years of the circuit,
we, as exhibiting breeders, promoted Longhorn Cattle through
competition and by public display of Texas Longhorns.
There was dedication
in promoting the natural breed character of these cattle
and in stimulating interest in the breed.
Though retired from the show ring, we still enjoy
opportunities to judge these cattle in competition.

Our LCR program gained recognition as a fore-runner in
promoting balanced cattle with good size and excellent horn,
as apparent in the genetics and legacy of
Lucy Creek's Fina Joya.

Foundation cattle in our herd included mixed family lines -
though some were straight WR (Wichita Refuge) Longhorn cattle
and others had WR influence.

To us, Texas Longhorns are interesting, hardy,
varied and magnificent!
At Lucy Creek Ranch we continue efforts to maintain strength
of breed character in our

Texas Longhorn Cattle.
